Australian smart home system manufacturer MyPlace has launched IQ Air, its most innovative system to date, designed to help households increase comfort while driving down energy costs.
Designed and engineered in Australia, IQ Air features IQe, MyPlace’s unique energy-saving technology.
The system can gradually pre-condition the home when excess solar energy is available, putting rooftop generation to work at times when it would otherwise go unused.
MyPlace Group General Manager Darren Bee said IQ Air was designed to help Australians get more value from the energy their homes already generate.
“Many households produce excess solar energy during the day, when no one is home to use it,” said Bee.
“IQ Air can put that energy to work by gradually pre-conditioning the home, helping families come home to comfort without relying as heavily on higher-cost grid electricity later in the day.
“Our goal is to help Australians get their energy bills closer to zero.”
The approach is aimed at a growing number of homeowners who have invested in solar panels.
By using less energy to keep the home comfortable, and by running itself during lower-cost times, the system is designed to deliver a stronger return on that investment.
MyPlace says the technology can save families up to $617 a year on their power bills.
The launch comes as demand for energy-efficient features continues to grow among both buyers and sellers in the property market.
IQ Air combines Australian-made technology with sleek design and intuitive controls, giving homeowners a practical way to work toward their energy goals and reduce the cost of running their air-conditioning.
Zoning is a central part of the system’s efficiency.
MyPlaceIQ can control up to 10 individual zones, directing airflow only to the rooms where it is needed. This reduces the energy wasted heating or cooling unused areas of the home.
Control is handled through the MyPlaceIQ smartphone app and an optional wall-mounted touchscreen.
Homeowners can adjust settings, create schedules and manage their air-conditioning whether they are at home or away, which MyPlace says makes everyday life easier.
The MyPlaceIQ range, including IQ Air, is compatible with a range of air conditioning types, including split systems, ducted systems and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems.
It has been designed with flexibility in mind, supporting a broad range of setups and helping households make smarter use of available energy as their needs evolve.
The launch builds on a long track record for the company.
MyPlace has been a pioneer in air conditioning for more than 35 years, delivering Australian-made smart home technology and “super smart air conditioning” to over 150,000 Aussie homes.
As the MyPlace ecosystem continues to expand, it is helping Australian households take greater control of their comfort and energy use.
By bringing smarter home and energy technologies together, the company aims to ease the pressure on families at a time of rising energy costs and increasing cost-of-living pressures.
For households with rooftop solar, IQ Air offers a way to turn daytime surplus into evening comfort.
For the wider market, it signals how Australian manufacturers are responding to the push for greater energy efficiency in the home.
