Fox ESS has signed a 5GWh strategic battery energy storage agreement with OSW, one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing renewable energy distributors.
The deal was formalised at the SNEC International Energy Storage Exhibition in Shanghai last week, setting a two-year supply target that reflects the accelerating ambitions of both companies.
The partnership will see Fox ESS’s residential, commercial, and industrial energy storage solutions deployed across Australia, a market widely regarded as one of the world’s most dynamic for renewable energy adoption.
The two-year timeline and volume commitment signal a long-term, structured approach to meeting Australia’s surging demand for clean energy infrastructure.
Anson Zhang, CEO of OSW, said the agreement reflects both organisations’ global momentum.
“OSW and Fox ESS are both scaling rapidly across global markets, and this 5GWh two-year target reflects the strength of our shared vision,” said Zhang.
“By combining OSW’s global distribution network with Fox ESS’s world-class energy storage technology, we are well positioned to deliver greater value to customers in Australia and beyond.
“We look forward to deepening this partnership as both companies continue to expand worldwide.”
Michael Zhu, CEO of Fox ESS, echoed that sentiment, highlighting OSW’s international standing as a key factor in the collaboration, stating: “OSW is an ambitious partner with a strong international footprint, and we are proud to strengthen our collaboration through this 5GWh agreement.
“Together, we will continue to expand the availability of high-performance energy storage solutions across Australia while supporting the broader global transition to clean energy.”
The signing at SNEC, one of the industry’s premier international forums, underscores the global significance both parties attach to the deal.
For Fox ESS, the agreement advances its strategy of aligning with distribution partners who combine local market strength with a worldwide outlook.
For OSW, it deepens access to advanced storage technology at a scale that supports its continued expansion.
Australia has become an increasingly competitive battleground for energy storage, driven by high household solar uptake, grid modernisation programs, and government incentives to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
Partnerships of this scale are expected to play a meaningful role in building out the storage capacity needed to support a higher penetration of renewables across the national grid.
The Fox ESS and OSW agreement represents one of the more substantial bilateral commitments in the Australian storage market this year, and both companies have indicated they expect the relationship to grow beyond the initial two-year framework as market conditions continue to evolve.
