Court rules Latrobe Valley’s first wind farm can proceed

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Delburn wind farm is valid and can go ahead, after its approval was challenged by the Strzelecki Community Alliance (a group of Victorian residents). The Delburn wind farm will be the first wind farm in the Latrobe Valley, it will also be the first wind farm built in a plantation in Australia. Emerald set to supercharge by joining CQ big battery blitz

Emerald has been selected for Central Queensland's next large-scale network-connected battery site, which will provide eight megawatt-hours of energy with 4 megawatts of power for up to 2 hours. Energy technology company SwitchDin will build the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Distributed Energy Resources (DER) focused test lab, after the NSW Government’s Jobs Plus Program provided support for the company. Public hearings into the proposed Viva gas terminal in Geelong have closed, with the project receiving more than 2000 written submissions. Viva Energy is seeking approval for the gas terminal to bring natural gas from various locations in Australia and overseas, to meet the projected gas shortage in south-east Australia. Charles Darwin University (CDU) will be part of the Northern Territory’s hydrogen-fuelled future with a pilot hydrogen generator, storage, and fuel-cell system to be established in Darwin.
