DOGO Power has unveiled its innovative grid-forming energy storage and green mine microgrid one-stop solution, designed to decarbonise Southeast Asia’s mining sector.
The company’s launch targets off-grid mining operations grappling with the dual challenges of energy security and strict emission reduction targets.
DOGO Power’s proprietary 4S Grid-Forming Technology integrates energy and power management, battery management, and storage conversion into a unified architecture.
Unlike traditional grid-following systems, this grid-forming technology operates independently of a main grid, autonomously supporting voltage and frequency. More importantly for remote sites, it features a rapid two-minute black start capability.
The system is engineered for harsh, high-temperature, and dusty mining environments, utilising pioneering short-blade battery cells with dual-sided liquid cooling.
This design delivers over 10,000 cycles, 30 per cent higher than the industry average, and ensures a system lifespan exceeding 15 years.
Furthermore, integrated AI through DOGO’s Cloud EMS optimises solar-storage-diesel hybrid configurations, slashing traditional design timelines for 100MW-scale projects from a month to just one week.
For Indonesian mining enterprises, the solution promises a triple-tier value upgrade across economics, safety, and sustainability.
It significantly undercuts traditional diesel generation costs, cutting expenses from up to US$0.40/kWh down to between US$0.12 and $0.16/kWh.
This represents an immediate 15 to 20 per cent reduction in electricity costs, allowing operations to achieve capital payback within three to five years.
Moving forward, the company will continue to leverage its grid-forming energy storage technology and integrated solutions, working hand-in-hand with local partners to promote green upgrading of regional mining industries and support Indonesia in achieving its energy transition objectives.
