PortxGroup, a renowned provider of Terberg YT200-EV Terminal Tractors in Australia, has announced a strategic partnership with JET Charge, a prominent Australian EV charging infrastructure business.
This collaboration aims to strengthen PortxGroup’s EV proposition by offering customers in the ports and logistics industries proven, cost-effective, and fast EV charging solutions suitable for the Australian market.
PortxGroup Group CEO Peter McLean expressed his excitement about the partnership and stated: “Every EV project is different, and having a reliable partner supplying effective charging solutions is key to success. Both companies are aligned in their commitment to excellence and a sustainable future, and it’s an honour to join forces with like-minded Australian businesses.”
JET Charge CEO Tim Washington also welcomed the partnership, highlighting the importance of pairing EV charging technology with new-generation electric logistics vehicles like the Terberg YT200-EV.
Washington stated: “We welcome this partnership with PortxGroup and applaud the recognition that a new generation of electric logistics vehicles such as the Terberg requires paired EV charging technology, which supports fleet user applications and optimises on-ground operations.”
PortxGroup is a Terberg distribution partner in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
Additionally, the company exclusively represents Kuenz container cranes in the Asia-Pacific region and Hyster in Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, and the Pacific Islands.
The company focuses predominantly on ports and terminals, offering supply chain solutions such as standard or advanced materials handling equipment, maintenance and parts, engineering solutions, and project advisory services.
JET Charge, on the other hand, is an Australian electric vehicle charging infrastructure business, aiming to accelerate the uptake of EVs by breaking down barriers to EV charging.
They specialise in EV charging engineering, hardware supply, electrical installation, maintenance, and EV charging grid integration services and serve as charging partners for many of Australia’s largest vehicle manufacturers, leading corporations, and government agencies.
This partnership between PortxGroup and JET Charge is expected to provide enhanced EV charging solutions for customers in the Ports and Logistics industries, contributing to the decarbonisation of the transport industry in Australia.
