The Energy Storage Summit Australia returns on March 17-18, 2026, at a pivotal moment in the nation’s journey toward 100% renewables and its emergence as a global green superpower. With energy storage at the core of this transformation, the third edition of the Summit will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to tackle key challenges and opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic energy markets.

Building on the success of the Capacity Investment Scheme, which recently secured 2.6GWh of storage capacity in Western Australia and expanded to 40GW nationally, the Summit will delve into critical themes driving Australia’s energy transition. Discussions will focus on grid-forming technologies, battery innovation, financing strategies, and state-specific developments, including the role of Renewable Energy Zones in accelerating deployment across the country.

“This year’s Summit is set to be the most comprehensive yet, with expanded networking opportunities, breakout zones, and interactive sessions designed to foster collaboration and innovation,” said Katrina Bowns, Senior Conference Producer for the Energy Storage Summit Australia. “As Australia continues to lead the charge toward net zero, this event will empower attendees to shape the future of energy storage and unlock new business opportunities.”

With policy frameworks firmly established following the 2025 federal election, investors are showing renewed interest in large-scale projects with long-term revenue certainty. The Summit will explore the required storage capacity to meet Australia’s renewable energy targets and the necessary actions over the next five years to achieve 100% renewables.

Attendees will also gain insights into emerging technologies, advancements in energy density, and innovative financing models that are reshaping the energy storage landscape. Networking Drinks, Lunch Breaks, and dedicated breakout zones will provide ample opportunities to forge valuable business partnerships and collaborations.
