South Australia’s energy transition is entering a new phase. As the state moves from renewable energy leadership to renewable energy maturity, attention is turning to the technologies, policies and market frameworks needed to operate a reliable, affordable and increasingly electrified energy system.

Hosted by the Smart Energy Council, Smart Energy South Australia 2026 brings together policymakers, regulators, installers, retailers, manufacturers, developers, technology providers, investors and energy users to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the state’s energy future.

Key topics include Consumer Energy Resources (CER), virtual power plants, electrification, battery storage, grid modernisation, local manufacturing capability, hydrogen and industrial decarbonisation.

The event provides practical insights into emerging regulations, market developments and commercial opportunities, while creating a rare forum where policymakers, industry leaders, installers and innovators come together to discuss what comes next.
