Smart Commercial Solar unveils Australia's largest off-grid poultry farm

Smart Commercial Solar, a provider of commercial renewable energy solutions, has announced the completion of a project for Agright, a poultry farm business.

The project, located near Griffith, New South Wales, represents Australia’s largest off-grid poultry farm, showcasing significant advancements in sustainable agriculture.

The innovative installation features 3.98 MW of solar panels, coupled with a robust 4.4 MW battery storage system.

To support this substantial renewable energy infrastructure, the project also includes an 11 kV private distribution network, ensuring reliable power supply to the remote facility.

This project aligns with Smart Commercial Solar’s mission to drive positive change on global, national, and local levels by leveraging its expertise in renewable energy solutions.

The company has built a strong reputation for constructing high-performance solar systems that stand the test of time, with projects ranging from 50kW to 5MW.

Huon Hoogesteger, Managing Director at Smart Commercial Solar and CEO of Agright Pacific, expressed enthusiasm about the project’s significance in advancing sustainable practices in the agricultural sector.

This project highlights the growing trend of sustainable practices in Australia’s agricultural industry.

As businesses increasingly seek to reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs, projects like this off-grid poultry farm serve as a model for future sustainable agricultural developments.
