Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 10,000 megawatts (MW) of operational portfolio.
This includes 7,393 MW of solar capacity, 1,401 MW of wind capacity, and 2,140 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity, delivering reliable, affordable, and clean power to the national grid.
The milestone is said to highlight AGEL’s commitment to its goal of achieving 45,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
AGEL’s operational portfolio, totalling 10,934 MW, is expected to power more than 5.8 million homes and avoid approximately 21 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani stated: “In less than a decade, Adani Green Energy has not just envisioned a greener future but has actualised it, growing from a mere idea to explore clean energy to achieving a phenomenal 10,000 MW in installed capacity.”
He emphasised that AGEL is not just setting benchmarks but redefining them, with plans to build the world’s largest renewable energy plant in Khavda.
The company has set a target of achieving 45,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and is currently building what will be the world’s largest renewable energy project, a massive 30,000 MW project in Khavda, Gujarat.
AGEL is pursuing sustainable practices across its operations, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
