Honda unveils new battery-powered lawn mower line

28 Oct, 2024
Honda unveils new battery-powered lawn mower line at Equip Exposition 2024

American Honda has taken a significant step into the future of lawn care with the introduction of its new battery-powered walk-behind lawn mower lineup.

The unveiling took place at the prestigious Equip Exposition 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s commitment to sustainable outdoor power equipment.

The new range comprises four professional-level consumer and commercial lawnmowers, set to hit select American Honda Power Equipment dealerships nationwide in 2025.

The lineup includes updated versions of the popular HRX, HRN, and HRC models, all reimagined with advanced battery technology.

Additionally, Honda has announced its first-ever battery-powered zero-turn radius (ZTR) commercial lawn mower, further expanding its eco-friendly offerings.

While these innovations are currently slated for the U.S. market, Honda Australia has expressed keen interest in evaluating these models for potential introduction in the 2025/26 Lawn & Garden season.

This move could complement their existing range and provide Australian consumers with more environmentally friendly options.

However, Honda Australia remains committed to its roots and local manufacturing heritage.

The company proudly continues to support the Australian industry through its local production facility, which has been designing and assembling lawnmowers specifically for Australian conditions since 1988.

This dedication to local production ensures that Honda’s products are tailored to withstand the unique challenges of the Australian landscape.

For the immediate future, Honda Australia will maintain its comprehensive range of petrol-powered products, catering to both domestic and contractor customers.

The company emphasises that its current lineup of mowers continues to set the industry standard for quality, performance, reliability, and durability.

As the lawn care market evolves towards more sustainable solutions, Honda’s latest announcement demonstrates the company’s adaptability and forward-thinking approach.

By balancing innovation with a commitment to local manufacturing, Honda aims to meet the changing needs of consumers while maintaining its reputation for excellence in the lawn and garden sector.
