Kidston Wind Farm declared a Prescribed Project

The final stage of the Kidston Clean Energy Hub, the Kidston Wind Farm, has been declared a prescribed project, ensuring the delivery of the project that will create 200 construction jobs. CIMIC Group’s UGL has been appointed by Neoen to install the high voltage infrastructure which will connect a Tesla-supplied Battery Energy Storage System at Neoen’s Western Downs Green Power Hub, around 250 kilometres west of Brisbane. Gladstone has been selected as the location for a new $500 million renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel biorefinery. Australian renewable energy company Zero Emissions Developments (ZED) has developed the technology to build longer lasting, greener, more efficient, and more affordable solar and electric vehicle (EV) batteries. ActewAGL’s hydrogen refuelling station in Canberra has been certified with renewable green hydrogen produced from 100 per cent renewable energy and with zero carbon emissions, thereby making it the first project to be certified under the Smart Energy Council’s Zero Carbon Certification Scheme.
