TotalEnergies expands renewable energy solutions globally

TotalEnergies expands renewable energy solutions globally

TotalEnergies has been working on the advancement of renewable energy solutions, particularly in renewable diesel and distributed generation. The company has engaged in power purchase agreements (PPAs) with over 600 industrial and commercial customers globally, focusing on self-consumption and grid injection.

TotalEnergies Senior Vice President Renewables Vincent commented on the company’s work on renewable energy solutions as he stated: “We are proud to continue accelerating our growth in distributed generation worldwide. In an unstable market with high energy prices, we provide our customers not only decarbonised energy but also visibility and operational excellence throughout the PPA.”

With 1.5 GW of renewable energy capacity, 1.1 GW already operational, and an additional 400 MW to be commissioned by the end of the year, TotalEnergies is significantly contributing to the energy transition across various industries.

Operating in over 30 countries on all continents, TotalEnergies‘ distributed generation solutions adhere to the highest industry standards and are tailored to customer needs.

These efforts are seen in projects like a solar carport with battery storage for JFK Airport, a floating photovoltaic plant in Belgium for the Obourg cement plant, and a ground-mounted solar facility in Oman for the Sharqiyah Desalination Plant.

TotalEnergies’ renewable electricity, generated at customer sites, is sold through long-term PPAs.

The company develops, finances, builds, and operates solar panels on rooftops, carports, and industrial lands.

These solutions help companies save on electricity costs, stabilise prices and reduce their carbon footprint.

Additionally, TotalEnergies offers behind-the-meter batteries to increase local consumption of solar electricity and provide stabilisation services to grid operators.
