Finalists announced for 2021 WasteSorted Awards

07 Apr, 2021
WasteSorted Awards

Minister for the Environment, the Hon. Amber-Jade Sanderson, has announced the 40 finalists vying for top honours at the Western Australian 2021 WasteSorted Awards this May.

Previously known as the Infinity Awards, the annual WasteSorted Awards showcase some of the most remarkable projects and individuals working across the state’s waste sector.

Around 80 nominations were received across 10 categories, recognising individuals, businesses, government, schools, community organisations and not-for-profits for their innovative solutions to reduce waste and promote reuse and recycling.

Finalists have been interviewed and assessed by a judging panel of experts and the winners will be announced at the gala event on 5 May 2021 at the Westin Perth.

Minister Sanderson congratulated everyone who submitted a nomination for their commitment to protecting the environment, reducing waste generation and increasing resource recovery.

“I look forward to joining these waste champions and their supporters at WasteSorted Awards on May 5, 2021 to recognise and celebrate their achievements,” she said.

For more information on the WasteSorted Awards or to purchase tickets, visit the Waste Authority’s website.
