Europe’s Green Aluminium Summit Returns to Frankfurt – Driving Decarbonisation Across the Value Chain

Europe’s Green Aluminium Summit Returns to Frankfurt – Driving Decarbonisation Across the Value Chain

The 4th European Green Aluminium Summit 2026 will take place on November 18–19, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany, bringing together over 150 senior decision-makers from across the aluminium value chain. As the European Union accelerates its path toward climate neutrality by 2050, the summit provides a critical platform for producers, automotive OEMs, packaging brands, aerospace manufacturers, technology innovators, and policymakers to exchange insights and shape the future of low-carbon aluminium.

The aluminium industry is under mounting pressure from the EU’s Fit-for-55 framework and the impending Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). At the same time, volatile energy markets, geopolitical tensions, and rising sustainability requirements are reshaping competitive dynamics across Europe.

Against this backdrop, the summit will address the sector’s most urgent questions:

  • How can producers comply with CBAM while maintaining competitiveness?
  • What breakthrough technologies – from Elysis™ carbon-free smelting to carbon capture – are ready for scale?
  • How can renewable energy PPAs secure green power for smelting operations?
  • What do automotive, packaging, and aerospace buyers expect from their aluminium suppliers?
  • How can recycling and circular economy models close the loop at scale?

Past editions have attracted leading organisations including Norsk Hydro, Alcoa, Novelis, Constellium, and HEINEKEN, with speakers from Alcoa, Hydro, Novelis, and Constellium sharing their technology roadmaps and sustainability strategies.

Delegates can join in-person in Frankfurt for full access to all sessions, face-to-face networking, and premium on-site experience, or participate online via live broadcast with on-demand access to recorded sessions.

Registration is now open. For the full agenda and registration details, visit: https://www.ecv-events.com/EGAS2026?cci=98
