Omnidian acquires Solar Service Guys, expanding presence in Australian renewable energy market

Omnidian, a global leader in renewable energy asset performance assurance, has announced its acquisition of Brisbane-based Solar Service Guys Pty Ltd (SSG).

This strategic move strengthens Omnidian’s foothold in Australia, the world’s leading solar market per capita, and expands its service offerings across the region.

The acquisition brings together Omnidian’s advanced technology platform, trained on over 380,000 asset years of data, with SSG’s extensive on-the-ground service network and in-depth knowledge of the Australian market.

This combination aims to deliver enhanced solutions for OEMs, solar retailers, installers, and asset owners throughout the country.

Mark Liffmann, CEO of Omnidian, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating: “We are thrilled to welcome the Solar Service Guys team into our Omnidian group.

“Their dedication to technical excellence, quality customer care, and commitment to advancing solar adoption perfectly aligns with our vision.”

Peter Matthews, Founder & CEO of Solar Service Guys, highlighted the benefits of the partnership, stating: “Partnering with Omnidian unlocks our ability to combine local expertise with a global technology and support framework.

“We look forward to enhancing our offerings through world-class technology and delivering even stronger service benefits to our clients.”

The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Omnidian’s international growth strategy.

Raymond Szylko, Chief Strategy Officer at Omnidian, indicated that this move is part of a broader expansion plan, with research ongoing in the EU, LATAM, and other markets.

As part of the transition, David Pethick will step into the role of President of the combined Australian entity, moving from his previous position as General Manager of Omnidian Australia.

This appointment underscores Omnidian’s commitment to maintaining strong local leadership and expertise.

The integration of Solar Service Guys into Omnidian’s operations is expected to enhance service capabilities, streamline support, and improve performance monitoring for customers in the Australian renewable energy sector.

This strategic acquisition not only solidifies Omnidian’s presence in Australia but also demonstrates its commitment to advancing solar adoption and supporting the country’s clean energy future.
