Ohme is the new EV charging partner for OSW

24 Jul, 2024

Dynamic smart EV charging company Ohme is the new home EV charging partner for OSW. “OSW is the largest solar panel distributor in Australia and is rapidly growing internationally,” said Usama Aslam, Head of Product & Marketing at OSW.

“Partnering with Ohme in Australia allows us to deliver a class-leading EV charging service to our customers and represents a step forward for us in providing exceptional technical support.”

Available to OSW customers will be Ohme’s ePod and forthcoming new Home Pro home chargers. Ohme chargers can help Australian drivers charge their EVs smarter, greener and cheaper thanks to their dynamic tariff integration. With Wi-Fi connectivity and solar compatibility, Ohme’s range of chargers have been developed specifically for the Australian market.

With EV sales in Australia up 16.5 per cent so far in the first half of 2024 and some regions such as the ACT enjoying an incredible 24% of EV penetration, EVs are growing in popularity and OSW can showcase the benefits of the solar industry as well as EV charging. With Ohme’s chargers offering a combination of integration for EVs, solar compatibility, flexibility with all electricity tariffs and built-in load balancing, they are sure to appeal to those moving to an electric vehicle for the first time.

“We are looking forward to introducing Ohme’s chargers to OSW customers and sharing with them why Ohme has enjoyed such rapid growth in the UK and Europe,” said Reece Davis from Ohme Australia.

“Ohme’s low cost and low CO2 flexible charging capability at a highly competitive price will help our chargers to stand out alongside the local customer service and charger installers across Australia.”

Ohme’s dynamic smart charging technology can connect with the grid in real time to automatically adjust its charging allowing Ohme customers to take full advantage of off-peak tariffs.

Charging a Tesla Model Y Long Range with an 81kWh battery on a full charge with an Ohme smart charger on an off-peak tariff, such as OVO’s The EV Plan, could cost just $6.48*.

Ohme is the official charger provider for the Volkswagen Group and Polestar in both the UK and Ireland as well as Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai in the UK and Volvo Cars in Ireland. Ohme has also been named as Fast Track Company of the Year in the 2023 UK Green Business Awards and Best Chargepoint Manufacturer in the 2024 Irish EV Awards.
