Makinex Renewables launches new innovation centre

Sustainable energy solutions company Makinex Renewables has announced the grand opening of the Makinex Renewables Innovation Centre, which marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to advancing renewable energy technologies — particularly in the production of their Hybrid Power Systems (HPS).

The new centre is set to modernise the landscape of solar energy solutions for the construction industry by fostering innovative research, development and production capabilities.

The primary focus of the Makinex Renewables Innovation Centre is to scale up the production of HPS units and provide space for the development of new solar products — leading to increased efficiency and a positive impact on the environment.

One of the primary objectives of the Makinex Renewables Innovation Centre is to increase the production of HPS units by 500 per cent.

These Hybrid Power Systems are designed to maximise energy capture and storage, providing a more efficient and sustainable alternative to traditional energy sources.

The expanded production capabilities enabled by the Innovation Centre will play a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for clean energy solutions.

Makinex Renewables CEO Rory Kennard stated: “This facility symbolises our dedication to advancing renewable energy technologies and underscores our commitment to building a more sustainable future across the construction landscape.”

According to the company, expanding the manufacture and use of HPS units may save the construction industry 2.5 million litres of diesel fuel in one year, as well as reducing carbon emissions by 6,609 tonnes — which is equivalent to the elimination of 1,437 vehicles from the road.

The Innovation Centre will serve as a hub for research and development, bringing together a team of experts, engineers, and innovators within the construction industry to collaborate on renewable energy solutions.

This collaborative environment is expected to drive innovation and accelerate the development of solar technologies suitable for the construction sector.

Makinex Renewables also released a statement which reads: “The Innovation Centre is not only a testament to Makinex Renewables’ commitment to environmental stewardship but also a catalyst for economic growth.

“Increased production of HPS units will create job opportunities, stimulate local economies, and contribute to the development of a greener and more sustainable future.”
