Green Rain Solar Inc. unveils innovative solar greenhouse system for urban farming

Green Rain Solar Inc., a subsidiary of The Now Corporation, has announced the upcoming launch of its new self-contained Solar Greenhouse system.

This innovative solution combines urban farming capabilities with advanced solar technology, offering a sustainable approach to food production and renewable energy generation in urban environments.

The Solar Greenhouse system features a fully autonomous irrigation system and backup battery supply, designed to optimise crop yield in limited spaces while being entirely powered by solar energy.

This dual-purpose technology not only addresses the growing demand for locally sourced, fresh produce in inner cities but also contributes to energy conservation and environmental sustainability.

Alfredo Papadakis, CEO of The Now Corporation, emphasised the system’s potential to revolutionise urban farming: “Our Solar Greenhouses are designed to meet the demand for year-round, high-quality vegetation while maximising return on investment for our customers.

“With integrated Aquaponics systems, these greenhouses optimise yield within limited spaces-whether atop commercial rooftops or standalone in water-scarce environments.”

The Solar Greenhouse system offers numerous environmental advantages.

Vegetation-covered rooftops have been shown to extend roof life, conserve energy, reduce stormwater runoff, and improve air quality.

Moreover, the plant coverage enhances solar panel efficiency by cooling the surrounding area through evaporation and reducing airborne pollutants.

Green Rain Solar’s initiative aligns with its commitment to social responsibility.

By transforming underutilised urban spaces into solar-powered greenhouses, the company aims to address the lack of access to fresh, locally sourced produce in inner cities while simultaneously providing clean energy solutions.

Green Rain Solar Inc. remains dedicated to developing innovative solutions for urban sustainability.

The company invites shareholders and stakeholders to participate in this transformative journey, which promises to redefine urban farming and energy production.

As cities continue to grapple with challenges related to food security and sustainable energy, initiatives like Green Rain Solar’s Solar Greenhouse system represent a significant step towards creating more resilient and self-sufficient urban environments.
