Green Gravity taps xAmplify to deliver AI enabled operations

19 Sep, 2022

Green Gravity, Australian ultra-green energy storage solution provider, and xAmplify, Australia’s leading AI and Automation Systems Integrator today announced a strategic partnership designed to leverage world leading artificial intelligence capabilities to radically accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

Specifically, Green Gravity will be tapping into xAmplify’s AI platforms and services to enable digital simulation, data processing, deep learning and automated operations to improve the overall energy storage and production process.

Much like the internet, AI and deep learning is relevant for every industry and creates massive opportunities for disruption and value creation. Over the next 15 years AI industry is forecast to increase global market capitalisation to the tune of $30 trillion+, creating more value than the internet did.

Mark Swinnerton, CEO of Green Gravity said:

“Combining real-time production and process monitoring data with simulated results will help the team quickly identify areas for improvement, so quality, cost, and production efficiency goals are achieved.”

“Deploying advanced AI platforms will accelerate the rollout of Green Gravity energy storage, bring down the cost of renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions from the electricity grid.”

“This partnership brings together two innovative Australian companies, who through the power of partnering will bring some of the most advanced technology in the world to the rapid decarbonisation of our energy system.”

Wayne Gowland, CEO of xAmplify said:

“xAmplify is leading the way in enabling AI within the enterprise and we are excited to announce this partnership with Green Gravity. AI is already beginning to deliver significant value across a range of sectors and as it evolves, we can only expect to see more of its benefits.”

About Green Gravity
At Green Gravity, we develop and operate cutting edge gravitational energy storage systems. We aim to become the world’s lowest cost and most sustainable provider of energy storage technology.
Green Gravity’s energy storage system moves heavy weights vertically in legacy mine shafts to capture and release the gravitational potential energy of the weights. By simply using proven mechanical parts and disused mine shafts, Green Gravity’s energy storage technology is low-cost, long life and environmentally compelling.
Decarbonisation of the energy system needs rapid deployment of renewable energy. To manage the inherent variability of renewables, energy storage must be added to our electricity grids. Our technology solution utilises conventional mechanical components to enable low-cost energy storage to be installed at legacy mine sites.
Based in Wollongong Australia, we are working with global miners, energy companies and research institutes to scale up our innovative energy storage technology. Commencing large-scale demonstration activities in 2022, we are already driving local investment and showing a pathway to a new ultra-green sustainable technology.
