Fox ESS tops residential energy storage worldwide

24 Apr, 2026
Fox ESS tops residential storage worldwide

Fox ESS has been ranked the world’s leading residential energy storage provider for 2025, according to S&P Global Energy’s Residential Energy Storage Market Tracker.

The report positions Fox ESS at number one globally based on megawatt-hour (MWh) shipments, while also securing top rankings in Germany and the United Kingdom.

The achievement underscores the company’s expanding footprint across key international markets and its growing influence in the residential energy storage sector.

Fox ESS has experienced rapid growth over the past year.

Compared with 2024, its global market share increased by 50 per cent in 2025, reflecting strong demand for home energy storage solutions as households seek greater energy independence and resilience.

The company has also scaled its operations significantly, doubling its global headcount since the end of 2024.

As of April 2026, Fox ESS employs more than 5,000 people worldwide and has strengthened its local presence with new offices, including a recently established base in Sydney, Australia.

“We’re thrilled for this remarkable achievement,” said Michael Zhu, CEO of Fox ESS.

“It reflects our commitment to innovation and product quality, and to making clean, reliable energy practical for households around the world.”

“We will continue pushing the boundaries to deliver solutions that help homes and businesses move toward energy independence.”

In addition to its commercial growth, Fox ESS has ramped up its global brand visibility through its “Champion’s Choice” campaign.

The initiative combines endorsements from elite athletes with recognition from respected industry organisations.

Australia marked the first stop of the campaign, with the company signing five-time Olympic champion Ian Thorpe in December.

The campaign is designed to reinforce Fox ESS’s commitment to delivering value to both customers and partners.

Central to the company’s strategy is a focus on product reliability and long-term customer trust.

Fox ESS emphasises rigorous quality-control processes to ensure its energy storage systems meet high-performance standards, aiming to deliver consistent and dependable solutions for households worldwide.

The company also continues to invest heavily in research and development, with a team of more than 400 experts working to refine product design and functionality.

These efforts are focused on improving ease of transportation, installation, and day-to-day use for both installers and end users.

Fox ESS’s technology ecosystem includes the AI-powered FoxCloud app, which enables users to monitor and control their home energy systems in real time.

The platform integrates energy usage tracking, smart device management, and detailed data insights into a single interface, helping homeowners optimise consumption and reduce electricity costs.

By aligning innovation with practical usability, Fox ESS aims to support both installers and consumers in navigating the transition to cleaner energy.

Its continued investment in technology and global expansion positions the company to play a key role in the evolving residential energy storage market.
