Tesla battery the first to power up at Kogan Clean Energy Hub

Tesla has joined forces with Queensland’s publicly owned CS Energy to build one of the state’s largest batteries, to store renewable energy and strengthen Queensland’s energy grid. Australia‘s largest wind farm will soon be under construction in the Golden Plains Shire just 60 kilometres north-west of Geelong. The wind farm is a landmark project supporting Victoria’s transition to a clean energy future. Minister for Energy and Resources Lily D’Ambrosio turned the sod on the 215-turbine wind farm site. Over one million solar panels powering Australia’s largest solar farm

Construction of Australia’s largest solar farm, located in Queensland’s Western Downs region, has been completed. Totalling over one million solar panels, the 400MW Western Downs Green Power Hub has the capacity to power the equivalent of 235,000 Queensland homes and is connected to the Queensland SuperGrid by a new 275kV line built by Powerlink. Brookfield Renewable has partnered with Australian developer Greenleaf Renewables to develop, build, own and operate the proposed Moonlight Range Wind Farm in central Queensland. The façade of Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) new city campus is completed ahead of the wet season, capping off the building’s main protection against Darwin’s tropical heat and humidity. Recycled glass and reclaimed asphalt used to revamp Clarence Street

Around 120,000 glass jars and more than 200 tonnes of reclaimed asphalt were used to refresh a one kilometre stretch of Clarence Street in Sydney. This means nearly a quarter of materials used to renew more than 8,000 square metres of road surface is recycled. The City of Sydney resurfaces around 35,000 square metres of road each year. bp to invest in new global battery research and development centre in Britain

bp has unveiled plans to invest up to £50 million (around US$60 million) in a new, state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) battery testing centre and analytical laboratory in the UK. World’s first commercial agreement on CO2 transport and storage

A commercial agreement between Northern Lights and Yara will see the transporting and storing of CO2 captured from Yara Sluiskil, an ammonia and fertiliser plant in the Netherlands.
