The development of wind energy or wind power in Indonesia has shown some positive progress in recent years. PLN’s General Plan for the Provision of Electricity (RUPTL) for 2021-2030 provides a larger portion for Renewable Energy Plant (52% of the new electricity provision or 40,575 Gigawatt (GW)). Thus, this RUPTL is called “Green RUPTL” including Solar Power Plants (4,68 GW), Hydro Power Plants (10,391 GW), Geothermal (3,355 GW), Wind Power Plants (0,597 GW), Bioenergy Plants (0,59 GW), and BESS (0,3 GW). PV Baseload (1,1 GW).
The Indonesian government has set tough targets for the use of renewable energy, including wind energy. Indonesia is also starting to develop technology in the field of wind energy, including the development of more efficient wind turbines and wind energy systems.
