Over the past 15 years, South Australia has transitioned away from fossil fuels and is now a leader in renewable energy investment, growing from grown from almost no renewable energy production in 2003 to approximately 2,000 MW of installed wind, and over 1000 MW of solar PV generating capacity in 2018-19.
