Informa Australia is delighted to announce the forthcoming Queensland Energy Conference which will be held on 22-23 February 2023 at the Rydges South Bank, Brisbane. This event will review the new government policy, new projects and new technologies being rolled out across that State.
The Palaszczuk government has just announced their aim to reach 70% renewable energy by 2032 and is funding several clean energy projects across the State, hoping that renewable energies can serve as a foundation for Queensland’s economic recovery from the impacts of Covid-19.
New analysis from Green Energy Markets (GEM) and community-led group Solar Citizens suggests that more than 51,000 jobs could be created in Queensland (QLD) if all the large-scale renewable energy projects currently in the pipeline were given the green light.
As it stands, 108 large-scale renewable energy projects worth an estimated $36 billion to the QLD economy are in the development pipeline.
Solar, wind and hydro industries have the potential for a manufacturing boom.
If you are looking to find out all the latest developments as Queensland looks to meet its renewable energy targets, come to the Queensland Energy Conference and absorb insights from the industry experts who will be at the forefront of this transition.
Some of the topics the conference agenda will cover include:
- Reviewing the QLD energy market and the latest government policy
- Assessing the renewables energy opportunities
- Updating the clean energy projects: wind farms, pumped hydro, large scale-solar, battery storage
- The emerging hydrogen industry in Queensland
