The Zero Emissions Ship Technology Association (ZESTAs) today (Tuesday 18th March 2025) announces ShipZERO30, the world’s largest hydrogen shipping event, is to take place in Aberdeen for the first time, from September 23-26, 2025. This landmark workshop marks the transition from technology demonstration to full-scale deployment of absolute zero emission solutions in the North Sea and Baltic regions.
Building on the momentum of successful workshops in Glasgow, Amsterdam, London, and Singapore, this exclusive event brings together vetted industry leaders who hold pieces of the zero-emissions puzzle and are ready to act. Vessel operators, energy suppliers, port authorities, and financial stakeholders will come together to create an Absolute Zero Emissions Ecosystem in the North Sea region.
“The pilots are complete. The technology is proven. Now is the time for deployment,” states Madadh MacLaine, Secretary General of ZESTAs. “ShipZERO30 isn’t about discussing possibilities – it’s about implementing solutions that are ready today. We’re bringing together the entire ecosystem needed to make absolute zero emissions shipping a reality in the North Sea and Baltic regions. Every participant must bring tangible solutions or defined challenges and be ready to form collaborative agreements.
Industry leaders Global Maritime and Nedstack have already joined as Gold Sponsors, demonstrating the sector’s readiness for deployment.
Interested parties must register at www.zestas.org/shipzero-workshop-series/shipzero30/ and outline their piece of the zero-emissions puzzle. ZESTAs will review submissions and contact selected participants for detailed discussion.
