Sigenergy crowned Australia’s top home battery

29 Jan, 2026
Sigenergy crowned Australia’s top home battery

Sigenergy has been named Australia’s leading home battery brand for 2025, according to new data from SunWiz.

The latest market report confirms that Sigenergy holds the top position across multiple key benchmarks, including overall market share and installer depth, confirming its dominance in the nation’s fast-growing residential energy storage sector.

SunWiz’s findings show Sigenergy achieved the largest home battery market share in Australia, supported by the highest “share of wallet” among installers — an indicator of repeat use and brand confidence.

The data suggests that many Australian solar installers are choosing Sigenergy systems across an increasing volume of their residential projects, solidifying the company’s presence within the installer network and the broader renewable energy industry.

The report identifies that Sigenergy has maintained the No. 1 position for battery manufacturers in Australia by blended capacity since March 2025.

Holding that title for 10 consecutive months demonstrates sustained performance and consistent trust among installers and homeowners, rather than a temporary spike in sales or installations.

The milestone highlights Sigenergy’s ability to meet local demand for dependable, scalable battery solutions as more households seek to embrace clean energy independence.

Beyond its performance in Australia, Sigenergy’s brand momentum extends to the global stage.

SunWiz ranks the company as the top home battery manufacturer by market share in Ireland and South Africa, underscoring its rapidly expanding international presence.

In both countries, the brand has been identified for its strong installer reach and customer loyalty — two indicators that often accompany product reliability and robust service support.

Sigenergy’s recognition extends across the global renewables industry.

Market research firm Frost & Sullivan has named the company the world’s leading provider of stackable all-in-one distributed energy storage systems.

In 2024, Sigenergy shipped 475 megawatt hours (MWh) of energy storage systems, representing a commanding 28.6 per cent share of the worldwide market for that product category.

The Australian market context adds weight to Sigenergy’s achievement.

Demand for residential energy storage continues to accelerate nationwide, driven by high solar penetration, evolving electricity tariffs, and household interest in greater energy autonomy.

As installers seek to partner with trusted technology suppliers, brands with proven performance records are increasingly shaping Australia’s energy landscape.

SunWiz’s latest ranking positions Sigenergy not only as a market leader but as an indicator of broader industry trends, where reliability, innovation, and network engagement drive brand success.

With a sustained 10-month record at the top of Australia’s home battery rankings and growing global presence, Sigenergy appears well placed to continue defining standards for clean energy storage in 2026 and beyond.
