Schneider Electric has been recognised at the 2025 PropTech Australia Awards, taking out the top honour in the Asset & Facilities Management – Established category for its implementation of EcoStruxure Buildings at Macquarie Group’s global headquarters, 1 Elizabeth in Sydney.
The accomplishment underscores a benchmark achievement for sustainable, intelligent buildings in Australia.
At the heart of the winning project is the EcoStruxure Building Operation Integrated Services Platform (ISP), which unifies all building systems into a single intelligent platform.
This platform, developed closely with end-users, gives facilities, security, and operations teams real-time insights and control, optimising occupant comfort, operational efficiency, and sustainability outcomes.
“EcoStruxure Buildings at 1 Elizabeth demonstrates how smart building technology can deliver measurable results and a future-ready workplace,” said Louise Monger, Vice President, Digital Energy at Schneider Electric.
Since its 2024 launch, EcoStruxure Building Operations ISP has achieved measurable gains in energy efficiency, alarm responsiveness and operational transparency at 1 Elizabeth.
The building operates fully electric under standard conditions, employs a chilled beam HVAC system for fresh air, and is striving for a prestigious 6-Star Green Star rating thanks to advanced smart system integration.
This award reflects over five years of collaboration, custom development, and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
Schneider Electric’s approach included a structured operational transition and comprehensive team training, ensuring smooth adoption and enabling teams to move from project delivery to operational excellence.
As a leader in the digital transformation of energy and automation, Schneider Electric continues to set new standards for innovation and sustainability in the built environment, raising the bar for smart buildings across Australia.
