Ohme partners with Flare to power Australian EVs

Ohme partners with Flare to power EVs

Dynamic smart EV charging company Ohme has been announced as the new home EV charging partner for Flare Cars, in a move aimed at supporting the growing adoption of electric vehicles in Australia.

Founded in 2015, Flare is a leading provider of advanced benefits, onboarding and salary packaging solutions for the modern workplace.

Its free platform streamlines onboarding and benefits management for employers, including novated leasing via Flare Cars. One in three Australian employees now use Flare technology when starting a new job.

The partnership comes as Australia’s EV market hits new highs, with almost half a million new EVs sold so far this year and last month recording the strongest sales since March 2024.

Under the agreement, Flare Cars will recommend Ohme home chargers for all its EV customers.

“Ohme is one of the most exciting and dynamic home EV charging companies on the market, so we’re delighted to be offering their products to our customers,” said Jamie Micic from Flare.

“Ohme is committed to excellent customer service and reducing the running costs of drivers just like Flare, so this is a natural partnership.”

Flare customers will be able to choose between Ohme’s ePod or Home Pro chargers.

Designed specifically for the Australian market, Ohme’s technology integrates with dynamic tariffs to help drivers charge their EVs smarter, greener and cheaper, with Wi-Fi connectivity and solar compatibility as standard.

“We couldn’t be more excited to form this partnership with Flare,” said Matthew Evans from Ohme.

“Like Ohme, Flare is a progressive business that drives success through exceptional customer value, innovative solutions and great customer experience.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with the Flare team to help educate their customers on EV ownership and maximise the enjoyment of their electric driving journey.”

Ohme is the UK’s largest home EV charging company and the fastest-growing in Europe.

It serves as the official home charger provider for Volkswagen Group, Volvo Cars and Mercedes-Benz in the UK and Ireland, as well as Hyundai, Suzuki and XPENG in the UK.

The company is also a trusted charging partner for major UK fleets, including Motability, the NHS and SG Fleet.

Adding to its accolades, Ohme was recently named Best Electric Charging Point Provider and Best Electric Van Charging Point Provider at the 2025 Business Motoring and Business Van awards in the UK.
