Gentari and Zurich Malaysia join forces to promote green mobility and renewable energy

Gentari Sdn Bhd, a clean energy solutions provider, has partnered with Zurich Malaysia to drive the adoption of green mobility and renewable energy solutions.

The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to promote sustainable lifestyles and support the growth of electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia.

Under the agreement, Gentari’s subsidiary, Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, will explore installing green mobility infrastructure at Zurich Malaysia’s premises nationwide.

The partnership also includes offering value-added services at selected public locations to facilitate the transition to EVs for Zurich Malaysia’s customers.

Aliah Nasreen Abdullah, Chief Customer Officer of Gentari Green Mobility, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: “We are honoured to partner with Zurich Malaysia to drive the transition to a more sustainable lifestyle through the adoption of Green Mobility supported by Renewable Energy solutions.”

She emphasised that the collaboration combines Gentari’s innovative power with Zurich Malaysia’s commitment to customer wellbeing.

The initiative encompasses various aspects of EV support, including:

  1. Installation of EV charging stations
  2. Provision of EV charging credits
  3. Mobile charging services
  4. Access to comfort lounges for EV users

Junior Cho, Country CEO/Head of Zurich Malaysia, highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting that Zurich Malaysia is the first insurance and takaful operator to collaborate with Gentari on this branding initiative.

He emphasised the company’s commitment to building a sustainable future and creating a more convenient experience for EV drivers.

This strategic alliance between Gentari and Zurich Malaysia marks a significant step towards promoting green mobility and renewable energy adoption in Malaysia.

By expanding EV charging infrastructure and offering supportive services, the partnership aims to accelerate EV adoption and contribute to a greener future for the country.
