Corporate Carbon Group (CCG) has implemented ION Commodities’ Carbon Zero solution to enhance its operations and ensure future scalability in the evolving carbon market.
With global investment in energy transition rising and Australia’s emissions trading system (ETS) developing since 2008, CCG recognised the need to enhance its management capabilities to seize opportunities for growth.
Carbon Zero was selected for its comprehensive features tailored to project financing and complex deal structures, along with its quick deployment and user-friendly design.
The solution’s flexible reporting suite for renewable certificates allows CCG to analyse risk across projects and portfolios and stress-test performance through various trading and price scenarios.
Furthermore, Carbon Zero has automated numerous manual processes, providing live data for reporting tasks such as Value at Risk (VaR), liquidity, and inventory valuation.
“Since going live with Carbon Zero, we have witnessed transformative effects on our operations, decision-making capabilities, and data reliability,” said Angus Robertson, Head of Carbon Trading at Corporate Carbon Group.
“This positions the company for sustained success in the dynamic Australian carbon market and prepares us to scale internationally.”
Sunil Biswas, Chief Executive Officer at ION Corporates, added: “We are proud to partner with pioneers like Corporate Carbon Group.
“Their leadership in the carbon abatement market aligns with our mission to deliver innovative solutions for a sustainable future.”
CCG has played a significant role in Australia’s carbon market since its inception in 2010 and boasts over 100 verified carbon development projects, delivering more than 15 million Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) to government and commercial clients and achieving 15 million tonnes of emissions reduction to date.
